I have plans to get short term disability insurance this week but I had a simple procedure last week. In worst case cenario, if I get complications from my surgery will my policy cover it?

Don't know yet. They're mailing short term disability info but it didn't come today.
Thanks A. The hits just keep on coming. I found out today that even after they sent me my acceptance & how much I'd get, Kaplan denied my unemployment saying I "abandoned" my job and was never on leave (though I had 2 days left of the 13 week Short Term Disability. Another appeal... hopefully this one won't take the 4-5 months the SSA told me today about my disability. :/
