How can i claim from my small business insurance or life insurance? i recently had an incident outside?

infront of my house, intruder attempted to stab me. i have personal injuries. doctor recommended rest atleast 6 mos.

i have both small business insurance and life insurance thru travelers and prudential.

plz advice where can i claim from?

Well, your LIFE insurance, is in case you die. you can't EVER claim on your own life insurance policy, because you'd have to be DEAD!!

Your small business insurance covers your business.

You claim from your HEALTH insurance policy. If you don't have health insurance, you sue the guy who stabbed you. you can also see if your local municipality has a Victim's Assistance Fund.

Does either of your policies have a clause or covenant that pays you income in the event of personal injury? If you are unsure, contact your insurers to confirm whether you may claim.

The alternate to claiming thru the insurers is to potentially lodge a civil suit (involving lawyers) against the intruder. Seek legal advice on this before pursuing this course of action

I wouldn't think you can claim on any of those Insurances as it is personal Injuries. Life insurance is only payable on Death, and business Insurance covers your business only.
You can only apply for compensation with the Criminal Injuries Dept. The Police can advise you on that.

Life insurance does not pay for medical costs. we don't know what your "small business" insurance might or might not cover.

None of those insurance policies cover disabilities.
