I'm looking for a basic travelers insurance that will cover accidents and theft to my electronics without huge deductables or insane exclusions. any recommendations?
**I am not looking for renters insurance, just travel insurance.
You should look for a "package" travel insurance plan. those plans include baggage insurance which is a form of property coverage that is limited to personal effects and luggage. most plans will either limit the amount they will pay for loss of electronic devices or will exclude them entirely.

However, you're probably not going to have to many options for electronic devices. they haven't been too popular with travel insurance companies in the past several years.
Certain credit card companies offer travel insurance when you purchase your flight ticket with their credit card, such as American Express, and maybe Discover Card. So, check with your credit card company and see what they offer.
Or, check with your insurance agent (auto, home, etc.).

Yes , totally agreed with you. I faced unkown RM12,000 transactions on my VISA card, luckily i have GOOD bank to cancel the transactions just by anwering "No ! I didn't know about the transactions" via phone.
moo_t : and somebody in the net just jump up and down blog about the way of some credit card company handling the fraud. I though the central bank tighten the policies, but it seems not all credit card company follow.

Usually merchents need to make a decision as to whether to accept Discover or Amex (they almost all accept Visa/MC because debit cards have one logo or the other, and so many people carry debit cards now a days) because of the fees they choose to go with Discover.
American Express is a highly respected creditor in the finance world and this is truly a decent card to hold onto. I would be careful that the interest rate was competitive; however, the One cards normally have a lower interest rate. Overall, I would say that you have done well in selecting a credit card.
